Head Coach

Eric Martanovic

Hello everyone! I consider it an honor and a privilege to be the next head coach of the Jaguar baseball team. A little about myself. My wife, Iris, and I have two small children: Callen-5 and Carley-4. I have an intense passion for baseball and still play today with my friends from high school in a local men's league. I played independent professional baseball for parts of two seasons. Collegiately, I played for Texas A&M University- Corpus Christi by way of Laredo JC.

I started coaching in Shreveport six years ago and was able to help the teams I coached there to two district championships and two state quarterfinal games. For the last three years, I was the Varsity Assistant coach at Reagan ECHS. I look forward to bringing my love for the game and enthusiasm as a mentor to LBJ. As the head coach at LBJ, I hope to help young men grow individually as athletes and students while working together to win on the field as a team.

Looking forward the the bright future ahead of us. Go Jags!!!

Sincerely,
Coach Marty

After a high school career as an All-City, All-District and All-Regional outfielder, he helped run hitting camps in Virginia, where he's from. He is thrilled to be a part of the program we're building at LBJ.
